Re: Dimitri Payet
I fuvking hope not, and I'm baffled to see so many being positive to seeing that french cunt again.

Re: Dimitri Payet
I'd take him purely on the basis that Lanzini is out for a year. However at 31 the terms would have to favour West Ham.

Re: Dimitri Payet
I cant believe we'd have Payet back. He plays when he feels like it and leaves when he feels like it. We need players we can rely on.

Re: Dimitri Payet
NO !, and I doubt it would happen anyway.

Re: Dimitri Payet
Not for £30 million, hes 31 for a start and as amazing as he was with us still disappeared in a few games that last season at Upton Park, half that maybe??. If this is a player that Pellegrini feels fits into what he wants us playing like then he will take that responsibility of signing him. He will need to give some kind of explanation for why the move away happened then it’s up to the fans to accept him either way

Re: Dimitri Payet
Payet the player yes if he fits into the squad. We all know he doesnt do the defensive work. Payet the man no. I wonder if his former team mates would even entertain it. Not sure whether he was liked.

Re: Dimitri Payet
Was definitely not Payet yesterday, definitely is today. I can't keep up. Not that it matters as we turned it down either way

White pony

It is Payet. Everyone that originally mentioned the rumour now have now named payet

Re: Dimitri Payet
It wasn't Payet though.

Re: Dimitri Payet
Yes I'd have him back but only only a contract that suits us & not just him.

I's offer an incentivised contract that benefits him if he hits pre agreed targets and doesn't hurt the club if he doesn't. 'Low base wage, high bonuses' if he reaches targets.

Theres nothing to lose via that type of contract, if he doesn't want it, fuck off then.

Same for Wilshere - high end pay if he performs, low end if he doesn't.

Then you see what the motives of the individual are.

Re: Dimitri Payet
I am surprised the papers have picked this up.

I though it was dead when mentioned, if he was the player.

Re: Dimitri Payet
Can’t doubt his ability - probably the most gifted player I’ve ever seen play for us live.

But he’s another year older and surely only on a decline from this point onwards? He’d improve us for next year IF his heads right but how much is left in the tank? No doubt he will want compensating handsomely for his time.

Lest we forget, he also royally mugged the fans off by playing like a cunt, not clapping them at away games such as Everton and going on strike.

Why should we do Marseille or him any favours?

Re: Dimitri Payet
this is bullshit fake news to lessen the attention on signing another sicknote freebie

Mr Anon 4:24 Fri Jul 6
Re: Dimitri Payet
Would take him back in a shot. Whatever his reason for leaving was, it wasn't money or a dislike of the club so willing to forgive and forget! So will everyone else if he played like last time

Re: Dimitri Payet
If you look at those players in the post from West Ham Social...De Bruyne would command 100m plus, Insigne 80m plus.

For a similar cost in the EPL or more, you're probably looking at Juan Mata, Willian, Pedro, or Lallana...none of which who are as effective as Payet at making goals and winning games.

It wouldn't surprise me frankly once it's known he's available if Man Utd or Spurs came in for him as he'd walk into their sides too.

Frankly he's actually too good a player for the level we're at so the chance to get him on the basis he was with us before is too good to turn down.
